It's been a while...

I realize this post is LONG overdue but I have to say it's been quite a summer and then September arrived so quickly. With the start of school, back to work and missionaries staying with us for a few weeks it’s been about juggling priorities.

We had two wonderful weeks of family vacation one at the beginning of July and the other early in September. In between we spent some time visiting, feeding, consoling and just being present to our cousins and their families during the last weeks of a wonderful young woman's life. I was blessed to have been able to visit with Patti and her siblings, her grown children and grandchildren over this summer. The cousins were all trying to get a family reunion going for this summer but it was just not coming together until a couple of weeks ago when we celebrated Patti's life. She will be missed by all.

Yes, it is about priorities and this summer mine were different than I had expected and sometimes everything just has to take a back seat.

I did take time to stamp though which is so therapeutic. This is a card we made using the stamp set Remarkable You.

I've been trying to keep my priorities straight - God, family, work and then my fun stamping business but sometimes everything is suspended for a more important and immediate event. I'm learning that I can't do it all.

Manly Monday with retired colours

Love, love, love this stamp set Open Sea and really glad it is not retiring.  It has so many uses.  A little sad (maybe alot about Muse) to see Midnight Muse and Raspberry Ripple retiring.  BUT tonight I get to see the new In Colors and I'm sure there will be 5 Fab Colours to take the place of these.  Which colour will you miss the most?

I'm very excited to go to the New Catalogue Premiere tonight in Syracuse (a little closer than Mississauga) and see what is coming up!  I guess I should write in American - Catalog :) I will be showing my Team the new catty on Thursday (not allowed to share with the public yet) so join up to get all the sneak peeks, pre orders and come to the awesome meetings to create!

Have a great Monday!

two Versions of Snow Day Stamp Set

At my Christmas in July class we created 8 cards and this was one of them. We used the fabulous Snow Day Stamp set #131895, Encore Silver ink, Soft Sky and Island Indigo ink and Card Stock.  A strip of Winter Frost Specialty DSP #132341 on Smokey Slate CS and we also cut out the mat using Deco Labels Collection framelits #130102 in Whisper White and Smokey Slate.  Everyone loved it.

So one of my favourite customers TS made a small error and corrected it.  Isn't it awesome.  This is no longer a snowman but woman with a lovely necklace and a little cleavage - woohoo.  We always say you can fix anything in stamping and often make it even better.  I wonder who will be receiving this card?
