Emergency Manly Monday card

I had such fun with Sue making a card - QUICKLY - so she could give it to someone right away.  It worked out for me too since it was my husbands birthday over the weekend and I needed a special card for him.  This is my version using the Perfect Pennants stamp set with the awesome Silver Clothespins and Silver Bakers Twine all from the Occasions Catalogue.  Black, White, Red and Silver!!

Manly Monday

I really, really like the Open Sea Stamp Set from the Catalogue.  I have used it for a variety of techniques but it lends itself to simple stamping too.  I'm amazed that I didn't use any variation of Blue just Very Vanilla, Basic Black and Crumb Cake.  Another one of my favourite embellishments are the Essentials Wooden Elements which are very manly and easy to stamp on and distress.

Manly Monday

Another Manly Monday Card.  I really love coming up with these cards and I often ask my boys if they are truly man cards?  Nic really liked this one.

I used a Basic Black base with a layer of that wonderful Baked Brown Sugar embossed with the Chevron Embossing Folder.  Love the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper #126926 and Chalk Talk Stamp Set #130631 stamped with Black Stazon.  The absolute awesome 1 1/4"  Burlap Ribbon # (cut in three strips to make a thinner accent) which is on sale this week - adds that rustic touch.
